Recommendation
During the withdrawal from Djebel el Azag 6 Jan. 1943, Sgt Lister covered the withdrawal of his own troops by advancing and taking on the enemy with a Colt automatic and one grenade. This he did under MG fire, thereby enabling his section to withdraw in safety. Apart from this, he showed great coolness throughout the action.
