Notes
  • The CWGC show no relatives or age, the latter taken from the private headstone at Fauske Churchyard. The single private memorial to Private Bath in the form of a grey granite slab 1.5 metres high is approximately 5 metres in from the front boundary fence some 20 metres before reaching the side boundary of the churchyard, and 10 metres beyond the pathway leading from a secondary entrance to the churchyard [view.....].
  • Fauske is a town on the north-west coast of Norway near the head of the Saltfjord 45 kilometres east of Bodo and about 250 kilometres south of Narvik. Approaching from the south on the E6 main route to the north follow this route into the centre of town to the roundabout where the E6 is signposted to the right. Cross straight over this junction on to route 80 signposted to Bodo and follow this road for approximately 1 km until the white wooden church can be seen on the right. From the entrance facing the church turn right and follow the boundary fence alongside the road back towards the town for approximately 200 metres. [Source: CWGC].
