Thomas Holehan, an engine cleaner from Richmond Hill, Leeds, was attested into the Coldstream Guards on 17 March 1941. He volunteered for Commando service and was attached to No.3 Commando. On 17 June 1944 he was wounded during operations at Normandy France (mortar wound to his right knee) and as a result of his injuries he was medically discharged on 2 April 1945. Conduct exemplary. Member of the Commando Association.
