Post war member of the Commando Association. He was the licensee at various premises in Cheshire in the 1950's including The Rifleman's Arms, Wilmslow, the Woodcourt Hotel, Sale, and the Ram's Head, Disley, before moving in the 1960's to the Noah's Ark in Plymouth then the Crampton Hotel, Littlehampton.
