Lance Sergeant Reginald Gray was wounded on the 8th June 1944 during operations in Normandy, France. Reginald Gray was a Police Officer who volunteered for the Commandos and was part of the July 1942 Police Intake to the Commando Depot (Commando Basic Training Centre) at Achnacarry. After passing his commando course he was attached to No.3 Commando serving in Sicily and Italy until wounded in France. After recuperating from his wounds he was selected for officer training and posted to O.C.T.U.
  • 12 May 1945 commissioned Second Lieutenant, Worcestershire Regiment.
  • Post war member of the Commando Association from Acocks Green, Birmingham.
