Lance Corporal Richard Jones, Royal Engineers attached to No.3 Commando, was reported missing after Operation Jubilee at Dieppe on 19 August 1942. He was later found to have been taken prisoner of war and transported to Stalag 344 at Lamsdorf, Poland.
  • 28 March 1942 (No.3 Commando) embarked on Motor Launch ML307 for Operation Chariot, the raid at St. Nazaire. Evacuated back to the UK after the raid.
