Notes
Thw CWGC and the Casualty Lists record him by Regiment only with no mention of commando service. His name is on the Westminster Abbey Commando ROH. The Casualty List record several other No.2 Commandos killed on the day of his death or just before and buried at Padua. Out of the 489 casualties buried at Padua he is the only one from the Lancs Fus. So we await confirmation or otherwise as to whether he was with 2 Commando or his Regiment should any family apply for his Service Record or make contact.
