Lance Corporal John Cramer, R.A.M.C. attached to Commando H.Q. (M.I. section) was awarded the Military Medal in recognition of gallant and distiguished service during operations at Lake Comacchio on 13 April 1945. This was known as Operation Impact Royal [1][2].
- The previous year he had received a Mention in Despatches in recognition of gallant and distinguished service in Italy [2].
