  • At the time of his death his troop were providing supporting fire and cutting wire defences during an assault on a gun battery along the dunes at Westkapelle, Walcheren [Source:Professor (Capt) John Forfar MC. 47RM Cdo.  'From Omaha to the Scheldt ].
