Honours & Awards:
Lance Sergeant James Johnson was awarded the Military Medal for gallant and distinguished services during Operation Chariot, the raid at St Nazaire. He was one of the Commando contingent embarked on board HMS Campbeltown for the raid, captured and later transported to Stalag 344 at Lamsdorf, Poland.
