Trooper 'Harry' Beedell, 50ME Commando and 'D' Bn., Layforce, was reported missing 2nd June 1941 during operations in Crete, later discovered captured on 1st June.
Post war member of the Commando Association, employed in his early life as a Farm Baliff later as a Purser on cross channel ferries. Member of the Middle East Commando Historical Research Group (MECHRG).
