Acting Lieutenant Colonel Halford David Fellowes was Commanding Officer Royal Marine Siege Regiment 1941 [1].
Acting Colonel Fellowes was awarded the Distinguished Service Order [2] whilst officer in command of 42RM Commando in the Far East.  He commanded them from May 1944 until wounded at Myebon [view], and relinquishing command on the13th January 1945 to the 2I/c Major H.H. Dales.
Post war he remained in service and was promoted Major General. In 1955 he held the post of Commander Plymouth Group Royal Marines. [3]. On the 1st January 1957 he was appointed CB. [4].
