Recommendation
During operations with 33 Ind. Corps between 11th March and 12th April 1944 Troop Sergeant Major Kemsley constantly commanded patrols with distinction. He invariably displayed outstanding qualities of leadership and his determination to close with the enemy inspired his men with confidence both in him and in themselves. On his own initiative he twice disguised himself as a native and reconnoitred enemy positions from a distance of only fifty yards, returning on each occasion with valuable information.
