Frederick George Kahl
Captain Frederick Kahl, 3 Troop, was accidentally killed in a climbing accident on the Milestone Buttress of Tryfan mountain near Bethesda, Wales.
Educated at Canford School from 1925. Entered Worcester College 11 October 1929, and achieved 2nd class honours in Jurisprudence in 1932. Played hockey and cricket for the College and was also a member of the Oxford University Officer Cadet Corps. After graduation he served in the Territorial Army as a member of the Honourable Artillery Company. 5 July 1939 commissioned Second Lieutenant 9th Bn. Royal Fusiliers. Joined No.6 Commando in 1942*.
