Duncan McCubbin served in 'C' Troop and 1 Troop. He volunteered for the Commandos as part of the police intakes. In 1939 he was a Police Constable residing at 20 Thurston Road Liverpool.
He resumed his police service at the end of the war advancing through the ranks. In 1962 he was Chief Inspector and Governor of the Bridewell, Cheapside, and in 1965 was promoted Superintendent of Westminster Road Division.
He received six commendations including a Humane Society Bronze Fire Award for attempting to save life in a fire in 1951.  
Post war member of the Commando Association.
