Gunner William Bristow died from an intestinal obstruction at Salonica Greece whilst a Prisoner of War. He had been taken prisoner during operations at Crete on 2 June 1941. Adopted son of Lewis Leonard and Decima Annie Ponting, of Swindon, Wiltshire.

Private Gilbert Horobin was reported missing 2 June 1941 during operations at Crete, later found to be a prisoner of war since the previous day. In 1939 Gilbert, an ARP Warden, was residing in Fulham, London, and employed as a wholesale tea salesman. Enlisted 25 May 1940.

Fusilier Joseph Lambert from Wesham near Preston was reported missing 2 June 1941 during operations at Crete. Later found to be a prisoner of war having been captured the previous day. Enlisted 12 March 1940, civil occupation - Hotel Worker. Post war member of the Commando Association.

Trooper John Harry Nicholas joined the Commando on 1 November 1940. He died of malaria during an escape from a prisoner of war camp in Greece. Son of Frank and Edith Maud Nicholas, of Burnley, Lancashire.
