Second Lieutenant Donald Bell Mckay receieved his commission on the 19th April 1942 [1]. He is listed as a Royal Engineers Lieutenant attached to No 4 Commando during the Dieppe raid on the 19th August 1942 [see document below]. Lieutenant McKay died on the 23rd March 1943 serving with 270 Field Coy. RE.,  and is buried in Tunisia [2]

Notes
He is listed by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission as serving with 270 Field Company, Royal Engineers.  No. 4 Commando were not in this theatre of war at the time.
