Extract from Commando Association newsletter 102
Dennis Ford, ex 7 Cdo has written to say that he was recently honoured by being selected as one of five veterans selected to represent all surviving ex servicemen and women in Zimbabwe at ceremonies commemorating the Far Eastern Theatre in World War Two. Among old comrades met during the ceremonies were some from Force 136 and the Eastern Warfare School. An initiation aboard the Royal Yacht saw Dennis meet the Princess Royal. Dennis writes that should any old comrade find themselves in Zimbabwe they might care to telephone him in Mutare so that he can show them around [2].
