Captain Christopher McDougall-Porter was reported wounded and missing 3 February 1944 later presumed died of wounds. He has no known grave. His Commando were engaged in operations at Monte Ornito and Monte Faito, Italy. Mentioned in Despatches in recognition of gallant and distinguished service in Italy. Named on a marble roll of honour located on Monte Ornito.
