Marine Damian Davies, Landing Force Support Party (LFSP), died as a result of a suspected suicide bomb attack south of Sangin, Afghanistan.  At the time of his death he was on patrol with X-Ray Company, 45 Commando Group, Royal Marines.

Corporal Robert Deering died when shortly after 0715hrs a Viking armoured personnel carrier was involved in an explosion west of Lashkar Gah in Helmand Province, injuring three other personnel and disabling the vehicle.
