Notes
In the book The Light Blue Lanyard 50 years with 40 Commando RM, the author Maj. J.C. Beadle, MBE, MC, refers to a Lt. A. E. Edwards dying at this time as a result of a motorcycle accident while escorting a motor convoy in the New Territories, Hong Kong. I can find no trace of this Officer in the AFM ROH and suspect he may be referring to Lt. Edmonds.
