Private Alexander Watson died as a result of an accident.  He died in Dumfries Royal Infirmary. The following day a Court of inquiry was held at the Drill Hall Kirkcudbright to enquire into the circumstances under which he met this death. The result of this enquiry is not known. He was buried on the 23rd October 1941, the burial party comprising 1 full rank NCO and 6 men from 5 troop who acted as Bearers.
