Marine Alan Duncan Howard
Marine Alan Howard of Suggitt Street, West Hartlepool, died during operations at Salerno, Italy. Prior to joining the Forces he was an apprentice joiner and plumber. A former pupil of Jesmond Road School and for many years a member of the 1st West Hartlepool Company of the Boys Brigade (St. Lukes). He was also a member of the Grosvenor Cycling Club.
