Lieutenant Richard Nunn died during operations in the Falklands.
CitationOn Friday 28th May 1982 the 2nd Battalion The Parachute Regiment was engaged in fierce fighting to take enemy positions in the area of Port Darwin. From dawn, Lieutenant Nunn, a Scout helicopter pilot, had supported the Battalion flying vital ammunition forward to the front line and had evacuated casualties heedless of enemy ground fire.
Sergeant William O'Brien was awarded the DFM for his actions during operations on the Falkland Islands.
